Forest Photos

For those of you who wonder what I mean when I say “I’m going back to the forest.”  Click the links for pictures  *nod*  Also, apologies for the poor picture quality.  I don’t own a real camera (want to buy me a nice digital one?) so these are scans of pics I took with a disposable camera.  Fear the grainy!

Front of the house.  It’s impossible to get a shot of the house without including some trees.  You can see part of my truck’s tailgate in the garage.

Back of the house  The house is partially underground, which is why the back seems smaller than the front.  It saves on heating and cooling costs.

Part of the view from the living room window.

Field in front of the house (look, more trees!)

Patio that my parents built.  The walls are covered in screen so the bugs can’t get to you.

We hide in the cellar when there’s a tornado warning.  Yes, that is a large pile of dirt on a large pile of rocks on a large pile of cement blocks.  No, there’s no door.  This does not make sense to me.

Various stuffed animals and other gifts that sit on my dresser

I wear t-shirts and jeans almost year round; I may add a jacket depending on the season.  I do wonder why free shirts are almost always gray…

I was inspired to do some pretty amazing artwork this Sunday.  It was weird to go to church without Seth and Tina, even though I enjoyed seeing my grandma.  Grandma was suitably amazed when I showed her the picture.  *grin*

So that’s a brief tour.  It’s pretty isolated, but a nice place to come back to after the semester is over.
