It is pink.
The label says that the plant requires bright, indirect light and moist soil, but not much else. I’d like to know the name mainly out of curiosity, but also so I can look up basic info about it (is this cute little pink plant going to grow big enough to eat a small dog, for example). Do any of you know what it’s called?
On a completely different note, my comparative vertebrate anatomy professor sounds like Adam West. That makes class a lot more interesting than it would be otherwise.
EDIT: I have now dubbed this plant Pinky

Here’s my schedule for this semester.
Blue is class, orange is not-class, pink is do-it-or-else.
Not-class includes ZAP (zoology aid program) and various RA duties. I should find out Monday whether or not I’ll get a paid ZAP spot. If I do, then I’ll need to insert 2 more hours of tutoring… Probably on Friday after the CVA lecture. Paid ZAP tutors work 4 hours a week instead of 1-2 and get $500 per semester. I like the work (tutoring introductory zoology students, if you didn’t know), so I might as well try for a spot. An extra $500 wouldn’t hurt either. :D
My monthly rounds change from month to month and week to week, so they’re not on here. I go on rounds from 1-3 times per month, depending on the schedule. Safewalk actually goes until 2am, but I didn’t want to make my schedule show that late.
And now I need to read 2 chapters of my comparative vertebrate anatomy textbook.

As you can probably tell by my obvious usage of the internet, I am back in Norman. As Seth mentioned, RA training for the spring semester was Monday and Tuesday. It wasn’t that bad, and included quite a bit of practical information (how to check out keys and properly fill out a citation, for example). The people I’m going to be working with are all nice and friendly, so that will make my job much easier. My buddy RA (the girl in charge of this building) and I made welcome back and floor meeting signs last night. We’ll work on a few more decorations today after she gets done with her office hours.
We’re still working out nightly rounds schedules, but I know my office hours. Friday 5pm - 8pm isn’t the greatest time to be in an office, but at least it’s all in one chunk instead of being scattered throughout the week.
Residents start returning today; one of them a couple doors down is already here. This semester I’ll live in a hall with about 5-8 other girls. I’m not really sure how many of them there are since I have not met them all yet. But I’ll work on that as they arrive this week. My door has a sign next to it with my name and title, so at least they’ll know who I am.
I’ll probably post a schedule as soon as things are finalized for more efficient stalking purposes…
