New blog category. Why? Well, if you have been living under a rock and do not check the announcements forum, then go look here. If you are not affiliated/familiar with IF/zB, then I will forgive you for having no clue what I am talking about.
For non-zB news, I am once again blogging in physics. He just answered the wrong question… *dies*

Time to start planning next semester’s class schedule, since I enroll April 4th. Yay for early enrollment, by the way. (I’m National Merit so I get to enroll a week before everyone else.)
I have an appointment with my advisor on Monday to talk about my class choices to make sure that they’re ok. I already have a possible schedule planned out, a book trade lined up with my friend Dany, and this. (I have the file saved as a .pdn so I can edit the text layer easily if my schedule changes…and that font makes me happy.) I really hope that this schedule will work…The spring semester has been a bit stressful with two labs and I’d like a small break. Being in class 25 hours a week (8 of which are labs) and getting to campus at 7:30 every morning is kinda’ tiring. That’s why I’m excited about next semester; I might not have to take a lab! I’ll also be within one more class of finishing my Chemistry minor. I’m not exactly looking forward to American Federal Government, but my friend Barrett says that the professor is “amazing,” and the class isn’t bad. She’s another science major, so I’ll trust her opinion.
*And* I only have one class on Tuesday and Thursday! I’ll actually see my roomies next semester instead of going days at a time without meeting them. Jamie and I realized earlier today that we hadn’t seen each other since before spring break. That’s quite an accomplishment when you live in the same apartment…
EDIT: I forgot…I’m signing up for Resident Advisor training so I can have ice cream and finger painting parties and mother a whole floor of freshmen. (The free room and board is very alluring as well *shifty*)

This morning when I left for class it was drizzling a bit and about 50F.
This afternoon it was sunny and in the upper 60s.
About 5pm it started to snow horizontally. Meaning, the wind was blowing so hard that the precipitation was “falling” nearly parallel to the ground.
7pm = clear and sunny again, with a normal wind for western Oklahoma.
By 9pm the temperature had dropped to 42F with winds of 30 miles per hour (windchill = 30F).
I tell you again, Oklahoma is strange. This is why we have learned to not put away winter clothes until late April…We never know when the weather’s going to go nuts.

Mmm, cheap heaping plates of Chinese food… *drools* Two meals and “free can soda” for $4.45 is pretty nice, and it’s good food! Too bad Happy Garden is off campus a bit; the only Chinese food on campus is disgusting/expensive/just plain nasty. I only eat at Wong Key (yes, that’s the actual name) when they are giving out free food. If it’s free I can tolerate a lack of taste and excess of grease.
Speaking of food, Seth’s mom is the greatest cook in the history of ever. She also makes the biggest pans of lasagna in the history of ever. For those of you who haven’t heard me rambling about extreme amounts of tasty food (and ice cream pies), I spent spring break in Joplin. It was a fun trip, and I’m glad I got to go. Seth’s wallet got stolen while we were there, but everything turned out fine in the end. ^_^
In other news, the week before spring break obviously did not kill me. I did well enough on my tests to be satisfied, though organic chemistry could have gone better. The ochem lab midterm was my best score (98) and I’m very pleased with that. So I have returned to stalk the Graphics Requests forum and make sure that it does not explode into a giant spammy mess.

Of the Miniature Orange Stapler and the Amandas!
The Battle of the Miniature Orange Stapler and the Amandas was played out today in the OU cafeteria. It was a vicious and terrible battle, filled with much shrieking and hysterical laughter terrified gasping by the audience. Amanda’s weapon of choice was an orange miniature stapler she had found on other Amanda’s keychain. Amanda was determined to staple other Amanda and other Amanda was determined to avoid being stapled. Amanda chased her goal of stapling other Amanda with great determination, but she did not prevail. Other Amanda finally succeeded in distracting Amanda and regaining ownership of her keychain and the orange mini-stapler of doom. To lessen the sting of defeat, Amanda proceeded to staple other Amanda’s Chik-fil-a sandwich wrapper with orange staples of doom.
For a nice mental image of the battle, combine these two emotes:
+
Replace the stick with a tiny orange stapler on a keychain, and the emote being poked with the one running around on the right. Then you’ll have a pretty good idea of why the whole group was nearly on the floor laughing (myself included).

My roomies gave me mononucleosis, dysentery, and syphilis for my birthday.
Click the links to see why I am happy about these rather unusual gifts.
Dysentery’s name is Montezuma.

My two favorite pairs of jeans are getting holes.
My shoes are starting to leak (although they don’t look as if they’ve been mauled by an angry kitten…yet).
My comfy little jacket is getting threadbare.
These facts bring me to a terrible and fearsome conclusion: I need to buy new clothes.*
So I suppose I’ll spend part of spring break ransacking Ft. Smith in search of cheap (and not ugly) jeans. Shirts will be a bonus item, but I don’t think I really need more of those yet (current shirts are still without holes). And comfy shoes are a must on a walking campus such as OU.
*I decide whether or not I need new clothes by how many holes my current clothes have.

Why I haven’t been around IF Support for a while
There is only one tolerable way to take the set of classes that each of us need, so Seth and I have the same schedule this semester. Therefore, I have the same number of tests and lab reports that are doing their best to kill me. Add in some Spanish (which Seth doesn’t take) + helping Seth move + having to sleep (bah at needing 8 hours) - RA duties and you’ve got a party.
On another interesting note, it appears that I am always smiling when I enter my Spanish classroom. One of my classmates noticed this yesterday and pointed out my perpetually happy face. I suppose I’m in a happy stupor most mornings…Either that or I’m just used to early classes.
For those of you who don’t know why my head a splode
*totters off to class*
