Today the wind blew hard enough to keep my hair in my eyes even when I was biking away from the wind. And the wind couldn’t seem to pick a direction, so I could never find a direction to face where the wind would not blow from behind me to tangle my hair. Except, of course, on my way home from campus when a steady wind tried to blow me back up the hill that I wanted to go down.
Oklahoma is crazy like that…

High temperature for today = 19F (-7C)
Truck = completely covered in ice (~.5cm)
Doors of Truck* = frozen shut
Bike = only partially covered in snow and ice
So I carefully biked as usual to get to campus today, even though it was rather cold, and a weekend (no parking tickets on the weekends). Riding through the snow (and having a frozen Truck) was a novel experience for me, since Oklahoma does not get much snow. The ride was pretty slippery, since the snow had a layer of ice under it from last night’s sleet. However, I did not fall down or over, and I am proud of myself for that.
On another interesting note, I saw a coyote today. The coyote looked at me nervously, and then ran faster when I squealed with excitement (I’ve seen lots of coyotes, but have never been within 100ft of one).
*Note: My truck’s name is Truck, thus the capitalization.

So tonight Tina, Seth and I went to Sam’s Club because Seth wanted cheap bottled water and Tina has a card (you need a card to shop at Sam’s). I went because I’d never been to the store before and was in need of food.
I was a bit…surprised when we went inside the store. Everything is so big in that store! I saw the BIGGEST BAGS OF CANDY EVER!!! And I got coffee! (I saved $2.64 by getting the big cartons.) I kept stopping in the aisle to stare at giant bags/jars/boxes of food. I’m easily amused, so I had a lot of fun just staring at the large quantities of food.
*listens to the sleet and rain fall*

Several important things happened to me this week, most of which involved chocolate.
The cafeteria had what they called a “Chocolate Extravaganza” on Valentine’s Day and oh, it was amazing. There was a large heart-shaped table completely covered in chocolate cakes (at least 10-15), chocolate pies (at least 5), chocolate candies (gazillions), and chocolate fountains with fruits and cookies to dip in the chocolate (mmmm).
Seth gave me the greatest tiger kitteh in the history of ever. My grandma sent me a pretty card with a nice note and money to buy food. And my dad mailed me a sticky note, which makes a lot of sense if you know my Daddy.
I used my information gathering skills to put together a bag o’ goodies for Seth. Tina helped. The surprise was almost ruined when Seth happened to show up in the store aisle as Tina and I were staring at all the chocolate, but I squeaked and shoved the goodies inside my coat quickly enough to save the surprise.
And yesterday the sandwich guy in Cate said “You’re alright!” to me as I bantered with them while I waited for my sandwich. Therefore my existance as a person has been validated by a random guy making my sandwich.

I have been pretty sick, but I am slowly getting better. (Although I am emotionally scarred from missing class on Friday) I just have a nasty cough left over now. So if you know me in real life I may occasionally sound like I am about to die. Don’t worry, the worst that will happen is I will hurt my back from coughing too hard like I did the last time I got sick.
I have a shiny new pen. I also have a not-so-shiny organic chemistry pre-lab report that needs to be done. The solution? Clearly I must use the new shiny pen on the pre-lab so that the report will be shiny too.
Update: Pre-lab is done, and much wub for the shiny new pen.

I hate it when a server goes down… The support forum gets flooded with people (most of whom just want to know what is going on) and topics all about the same thing. I don’t mind answering questions, but the “I hate moderators because something completely out of their control is happening and they are trying to keep order” topics make me a bit…cranky…
Wub to all the members who just sit back and wait patiently for the server to come back online.
Anywho, I added a new post category, s15 is back up, I have tortilla chips, and I really should be attacking my mound of Spanish homework now.
