It occurred to me that I have labs three weekdays out of five. Then I decided that I should stop thinking so much…I realize things that I do not want to know.
The labs aren’t that bad really (so far). And I have a Seth for a lab partner and study buddy. It could get very stressful very quickly if I didn’t have my study buddy or I didn’t keep my homework done early. (Spanish has a LOT of homework) But last semester taught me how to deal with even more Spanish homework since I took the honors section… So it’s all good in the end.
And I have popcorn!

My ochem TA (organic chemistry lab teaching assistant) does not speak english very well. At all. He seems like a nice guy, but he does not understand what we say.
Me: What setting should I put this to? *points to instrument*
TA: Higher number higher temperature.
Me: But what setting?
TA: Higher number higher temperature. *wanders off*
Me: *grumbles and sets instrument to random setting to see what happens*
Instrument: *evil laugh*
Hi 6 hours a week of pointing at instruments.
Perhaps I can find a researching ochem professor who needs a lab person? 6 weeks of working in a professor’s lab doing actual experiments gets a whole semester’s worth of credit… *plots*
On a happier note, Physics and ochem II shouldn’t be that bad. I also have a good Spanish professor (a tineh Peruvian lady), Genetics professor, physics discussion TA, and physics lab TA.
EDIT: Zomai

Things of interest since my last blog entry:
Oklahoma is in the midst of our worst drought since the Dust Bowl era. We’re all pretty nervous about the large fires popping up all over the state, but people continue to toss their lit cigarrettes out their windows while driving and to burn their trash even though we’re under a burn ban.
But life goes on whether it rains or not. I still have another week and a half of vacation before classes start. I miss my family while I am away, but I am ready to go back. Vacations tend to turn me a bit nocturnal.
One of my grandma’s cows had twins a couple of days ago. The calves are nearly identical and very cute. It would not be smart to get close enough to pet them, though. Mommeh cow would stomp you into a paste.
And today I found the greatest apples ever on sale for $0.84/lb. Not exciting to you? I’m still happy about them. Fuji apples are awesomelicious.
