Microbiology and Ponytails

I got an e-mail from my Fundamentals of Microbiology professor a few minutes ago, saying “Congratulations! You got one of the highest scores on the exam. Even better than last time.” (I made a 94. The average score for the class was 71.)
It makes me happy when professors acknowledge hard work.

In other news, here is a Sam Quote!

Movie, Chocolate, and Headaches

Hmm…Despite what many of my gender believe, Depp as Willy Wonka is kinda’ creepy.  He wears way too much makeup in that movie…And the new oompa loompas are pretty creepy as well.
As you can probably guess, I watched another free movie in Meacham tonight.  I would be a bit annoyed if I’d paid for it, but since the movie was free I am happy.

hehe…After the movie, we attended a party upstairs that included OU’s famous chocolate fountain.  We went to the party just to get the chocolate; then we ran away from the painfully loud music.

Speaking of painful…I may have TMJ.    I’ve had the same headache for about 4 days now and it’s beginning to annoy me.  My headaches usually center around my jaw and inner ear area.  In addition, my jaws have been cracking a bit lately when I yawn, and my ears pop when I swallow sometimes.  I set up an appointment with my family doctor for Thanksgiving break to find out what is wrong.  This would explain my frequent headaches…

All for now.

Sprinklers

I rather dislike sprinklers.

Last night I went to get my bike after spending most of the day on campus; I’d chained up my bike just outside Cate.  As I approached the building I heard the saddening sound of sprinklers giving bicycles unwanted drenchings.  I first checked on my bike around 11.  At 12 I finally gave up.  I waded through the puddles, letting the sprinklers hit me while I unchained my bike and tied a Wal-Mart bag to the seat to keep my backside reasonably-almost-but-not-really dry (my bike seat is squishy and absorbs water like a sponge).  So…yeah…the sprinklers were still going after over an hour and shooting large streams of water at least 20ft away from the plants they were supposed to be watering.   The sprinklers watered all the bikes on the rack, the sidewalk, the road, a bench, the trunks of trees…pretty much everything except the plants.

This is why I have warned you many times to beware of sprinklers.
